Day 1: Arrive at Philip G. Airport

Arrival at the Belize Philip Goldson International Airport. You will meet your local birding guide after checking out from Immigration/Customs who will welcome you into our beautiful jewel.

We will start our birding adventure driving South towards Mayflower Bocawina National Park while birding along the way.

Day 2: Jaguar Reserve

After an early morning breakfast, we make a short drive to the Jaguar Reserve. Some target birds hoping to see are: Crested Guan, Chestnut-headed Oropendola, Scarlet-rumped Tanager, Golden- hooded Tanager, Gray-chested Dove, Tinamous and an opportunity of seeing the Scarlet Macaws.

Around midday we return to Bocawina Lodge with a stop for lunch along the way. After dinner we will do a short night hike in search for Spectacle Owl and Mottle Owl.

Day 3: Bocawina Falls

We will do early morning birding before breakfast. After breakfast, we will walk on the trail to Bocawina Falls. Some target birds we hope to see are: White-winged Becard, Cinnamon Becard, Middle American Leaftosser, Keel-billed Motmot, Orange-billed Sparrow, Central American Pygmy-owl just name a few.

Checkout from the lodge and we start our drive further south to The Lodge at Big Falls with birding along the way.

Day 4: The Lodge at Big Falls

Early bird walks at the grounds of the lodge in search of Bare-crowned Antbird, Dot-winged Ant wren, Mayan Antthrush, Buff-throated Saltator just to name a few.

After Breakfast, we drive to some of the hotspots to find Black-crowned Antshrike, White-throated Flycatcher and Mistletoe Tyrannulet

Day 5: Western Belize

Early morning birding in search of Gray-breasted Crake, Ruddy Crake, Buffthroated Foliage-gleaner

After breakfast we start driving to Western Belize with a stop at the Blue Hole National Park. Some birds hoping to see are: Mealy Parrot, White-tipped Dove

Day 6: Mountain Pine Ridge

Early breakfast before heading to the Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve with a packed lunch. Some birds of interest are black-headed Siskin, Lovely Cotinga, Ornate Hawk Eagle, Gray-headed Kite, Violet Sabrewing, Double-toothed Kite, Greater Pewee, White-collard Swift.

Day 7: Sunset Birding

After breakfast we can decide on options depending on species needed, Black Rock Road or Elijio Pantie National Park. Lunch somewhere in town with a sunset birding at rice field in search of Yucatan Poorwill, Yucatan Nightjar, Northern Potoo, Stripped Owl, Uniform Crake, Black and White Owl.

Day 8: Monkey Bay Wildlife Sanctuary

After Breakfast we depart to Monkey Bay Wildlife Sanctuary in search of Graycollard Becard, Variable Seedeater, Blue Seedeater, Slate-colored Seedeater and Yellow-tailed Oriole, Rufous-breasted Spinetail.

Day 9: La Milpa Ecolodge

After breakfast birding around the lodge in search of Great Curassow, Pheasant Cuckoo, Barred Forest-falcon, Strong-billed Woodcreeper, Streak-headed Woodcreeper, White-throated Thrush, Golden-crowned Warbler, Green-honey Creeper, Ocellated Turkey.

Day 10: Sarteneja Village

Pre-breakfast bird walk in search of other species, breakfast and check out On the drive to Sarteneja we will stop on the way on the rice field birds hoping to see are Sandpipers and Storks, Crakes, and Grassland Yellow-finch.

Day 11: Bird's Eye View Lodge

Pre-breakfast birding in search Rose-throated tanager, Orange Oriole, Caribbean Dove, Gray-throated Chat, Yellow-bellied Elaenia

Breakfast and late checkout, we start driving towards Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary with stop for lunch on the way.

Evening walk in search of yellow-headed Parrot, Yellow-lored Parrot.

Day 12: Bird's Eye View Lodge

Pre-breakfast bird walk in search of Rufous-browed Peppershirke, Yucatan Jay, Yucatan Woodpecker.

Breakfast, boat trip on the lagoon in search of Agami Heron, Black-collared hawk, Sungrebe, Pinnated Bittern, Boat-billed Heron, American Pygmy Kingfisher, Aplomado Falcon.

Lunch and Ciesta Late evening walk in search of other species that remain

Day 13: Optional bird walk

Breakfast and checkout after a great 12 days of filled with fun birding. Depart 3hrs before your flight to the International Airport for negative Covid Testing and Flight.
