Meet one of our experienced bird guides and travel to Laguna Aguacate, located near the Mennonite community of Spanish Lookout. This tour passes through a mosaic of habitats including savannah, open farmland, and subtropical forest surrounding the lagoon.
These diverse ecosystems provide excellent opportunities to observe a wide range of bird species. Common sightings include Vermilion Flycatchers, Fork-tailed Flycatchers, Yellow-rumped Warblers, Crested Caracaras, White-tailed Kites, Laughing Falcons, and Aplomado Falcons. Wetland areas attract herons, teals, sandpipers, Black-necked Stilts, Jabiru Storks, and a variety of seedeaters.
